DISCOVER MADRID, DISCOVER URJCmun TEEN!

As Spain's largest city, and as Europe's third largest, Madrid will be proudly welcoming delegates from all over the world for URJCmun. A vibrant cultural scene, an outstanding cuisine and a sparkling weather makes the Spanish capital one of the most complete and entertaining host cities.

Madrid is easily reachable from the vast majority of European capitals and from several other cities outside the continent, acting as a hub between Europe and America.

  • By plane The Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport caters for the whole region of Madrid, as well as for the surrounding bigger cities. It has five terminals and handles more than 50 million yearly passengers.
  • By train Madrid is reachable by train from practically anywhere in Spain, as well as from Portugal and France. Its two major stations are Madrid-Atocha and Madrid-Chamartín, which cater for the southern and northern parts of the city, respectively.
  • By bus Several bus and coach companies operate to and from Madrid, connecting the city to the rest of Spain and abroad. Many cities and towns that lack rail network connection to Madrid can easily reach it within some hours on the bus.
The public transport system of Madrid is one of the biggest and most efficient in Europe, with an outstanding infrastructure that spans all across the city of Madrid and beyond.
The conference venue, the conference hostel and all social events are easily reachable and within some minutes distance using the metro, the bus, the tramway or the commuting train.
Delegates coming from outside Madrid or outside Spain will have the possibility to order a Public Transport Card which they will be able to use not only within Madrid, but within the entire Madrid region! This Card has unlimited validity for one entire month, and you can use it again if you ever come back to Madrid.
You can book your Public Transport Card using our application form. Its price is 24 euros, which you can transfer along with your participation fee.

TRAVEL & TRANSPORT

Delegates coming from outside Madrid or outside Spain will have the possibility to book accommodation for the days of the conference. The place that will host this year’s participants will be Petit Palace Opera Hotel, a three starts hotel in the very heart of Madrid and easily reachable by any means of public transport.

You will find all the information regarding the booking process and price per delegate in our URJCmun TEEN Handbook.
